Van Zijl's ice plant
Rare endemic species of South Africa, described by L. Bolus in honour of the collector or botanist Van Zijl. With a very restricted distribution within the Western Cape or adjacent areas, it is one of the least known species in the genus. Like the rest of the genus, it has the typical creeping habit and large showy flowers.
