Red-rimmed ice plant
South African Carpobrotus characterised by the red rim (rubrocinctus = red-rimmed) of its succulent leaves, most visible under water stress or intense light. Described by Haworth and transferred by Schwantes. Considered by some authors a synonym or subspecies of C. acinaciformis.
