Schweinfurth's Caralluma
Caralluma schweinfurthii, described by A. Berger and dedicated to the celebrated German explorer and botanist Georg Schweinfurth (1836–1925), is a succulent of northeastern Africa and the Arabian Peninsula. Currently also recognised under the name Orbea schweinfurthii following recent taxonomic revisions, it is characterised by its stellate flowers with striking interior ornamentation.
