Caralluma russelliana is a succulent with an Arabo-African distribution, originally described by Courbon ex Brongniart and reclassified by Cufodontis. It occurs on arid rocky outcrops of the Horn of Africa and the Arabian Peninsula, where it coexists with other stapeliads under extreme aridity.
