Caralluma praegracilis Oberm.
Very Slender Caralluma
A South African species with notably thin stems, hence the epithet 'praegracilis' (very slender/graceful). Described by Obermeyer, it is one of the most slender Caralluma on the African continent. Its filiform to subcylindrical stems, barely 5–8 mm in diameter, rise erect or slightly decumbent in scattered groups. Inhabits arid and semi-arid zones of southern Africa on stony or sandy soils. Flowers are small and dull-coloured, with a characteristic simple corona.
