Nilgiri Caralluma
A highly rare succulent endemic to the Nilgiri Hills of Tamil Nadu, India, known from only a few localities above 2,000 m elevation in the Western Ghats. Stems are erect, tetragonal, and greyish-green, forming compact small clumps. Flowers display a star-shaped corolla of five triangular petals with a characteristic central corona. Described by Kumari and Subba Rao in the late 20th century; listed among threatened species of the Indian flora.
