"'Cacalia tomentosa' Haw. (Syn. Pl. Succ. 1819) is the direct basionym of 'Caputia tomentosa' (Haw.) B.Nord. & Pelser (2016). Haworth's name has nomenclatural priority over 'Cacalia tomentosa' Eckl. ex DC. (see RN-CAC-00016). Both entries (RN-CAC-00016 and RN-CAC-00017) document the same plant under different historical author citations for encyclopedic clarity."
