Caralluma deflersiana Lavranos
Deflers' Caralluma
Species described by botanist John Lavranos, named in honour of botanical explorer Albert Deflers, who made important collections in Yemen in the late 19th century. Inhabits the arid zones of the southern Arabian Peninsula. Its stems are quadrangular with teeth and its flowers follow the typical genus pattern with dark colourations.
