White-brown Caralluma
Herbaceous succulent endemic to the arid interior of South Africa (Karoo and adjacent areas). Originally described by Rudolf Marloth as Boucerosia albocastanea, it was transferred to Caralluma by L.C. Leach. Its flowers are striking, two-toned: cream-white petals with a dark chestnut centre, giving the species its name.
