Boucerosia quadrangula (Forssk.) Decne. is the historical name for this Arabian Peninsula succulent whose currently accepted name is Caralluma quadrangula (Forssk.) N.E.Br., or in some classifications Monolluma quadrangula. It has prominently angled tetragonal stems, green to greyish, with dark 5-petalled flowers of fetid aroma. It inhabits rocky and sandy arid zones of Yemen, Saudi Arabia and the Horn of Africa.
