Boucerosia mammillaris (L.) N.E.Br. is the historical name for this South African succulent whose currently accepted name is Orbea mammillaris (L.) H.Huber. It is a spineless cactiform plant with 4-ribbed tetragonal stems bearing tubercles or mammillae that give it its name. Its star-shaped fetid-smelling flowers attract flies for pollination. Native to the Cape region of South Africa.
