Astroloba foliolosa is a compact rosette succulent with numerous small, very densely packed leaves — a trait reflected in its epithet (foliolosa = leafy/with many small leaves). Endemic to the Western Cape, it grows near Montagu and Robertson in sandy, well-drained soils.
