Astroloba dodsoniana Uitewaal

Dodson's astroloba

Astroloba dodsoniana is a compact rosette succulent endemic to the Worcester area (Western Cape, South Africa), described by Uitewaal in honor of the botanist Dodson. It forms dense rosettes with the 5 spiral ranks characteristic of the genus. It is one of the least photographically documented Astroloba species, making it especially coveted among specialist collectors.

"Species rarely documented in field photographs; most records come from cultivation. The Worcester area (Western Cape) is the type locality. Can be confused with A. foliolosa in cultivation."
