Joan's apteranthes

Apteranthes joannis is a Moroccan stapeliad described by Maire and reclassified into Apteranthes by Plowes. It grows in the arid and pre-desert zones of southwestern Morocco, including the Atlas foothills. Occasionally cultivated in European botanic gardens with mild climates, such as the famous Exotic Garden of Monaco.
