Haeckel's aptenia

Aptenia haeckeliana is a poorly documented trailing succulent from southern South Africa, morphologically similar to A. cordifolia but with slightly more elongated leaves and somewhat smaller flowers. Occasionally cultivated in specialist succulent collections. Named in honour of naturalist Ernst Haeckel.
