Schmidt's anacampseros

Anacampseros schmidtii is a dwarf succulent from arid Namaqualand, originally described by A. Berger and later transferred to Anacampseros by Poellnitz. It forms compact rosettes with rounded grey-green leaves bearing the papery scales characteristic of the genus. Its ephemeral pink flowers appear on short pedicels and open for only 2–4 hours on sunny afternoons.
