Anacampseros avasmontana Dinter ex Poelln.
Avas mountain anacampseros
Anacampseros avasmontana is a restricted endemic of the Avasberg mountains in Namibia, originally collected by botanist Dinter and formally described by Poellnitz. It grows in rock crevices on the arid slopes of this Namibian range. Like the rest of Anacampseros, it is a dwarf rosette succulent with ephemeral pink flowers that only open for a few hours per day on clear days.

"The highly specific location of this species (Avasberg, Namibia) makes it vulnerable to any disturbance of its habitat. Its scarce presence in European or American collections makes it difficult to study its reproductive cycle in cultivation."
