Aloinopsis wilmaniae L.Bolus

Wilman's Aloinopsis

Endemic species from the surroundings of Williston, in the Central Karoo, South Africa. Described by Louisa Bolus, it honours Maria Wilman, geologist and director of the McGregor Museum in Kimberley. Forms rosettes of grey-green to blue-grey leaves with evenly distributed whitish tubercles. Flowers are yellow to cream-yellow with soft median lines. It is one of the least cultivated species in the genus due to its scarcity in collections.
