Aloinopsis thudichumii L.Bolus

Thudichum's Aloinopsis

Endemic species from the Sutherland region, in the Upper Karoo of the Northern Cape, one of the coldest and highest-altitude areas of the Karoo. Forms compact rosettes of notably thick, grey-green leaves with a slightly rough surface. It is adapted to frequent frosts and very cold nights in winter. Flowers are yellow to yellow-orange. It is one of the least photographically documented species in the genus.
