Central African grassland aloe
Aloe paedogona is a stemless or very short-stemmed aloe species inhabiting the savannas and grasslands of Central Africa, including the Democratic Republic of Congo, Uganda and Kenya. Described by A.B. Rendle, it is a poorly documented species well adapted to tropical lateritic soils.

Morphology
Lanceolate leaves, bright green to dark green, with possible faint spots. Margins with small, firm teeth. Length 20–40 cm.

Propagation Strategy
- 1 Obtain fresh seeds; germinate soon after harvest.
- 2 Sow in lateritic soil, sand and organic matter mix (2:1:1).
- 3 Maintain temperature 24–30 °C with high humidity.
- 4 Water regularly without waterlogging during germination.
Simulate savanna seasonal cycle: abundant wet season, reduced dry season.
Not respecting the dry rest period.
Every 2–3 years in tropical or subtropical cultivation.
Balanced fertilizer diluted once a month during wet season.
