Aloe nitida is a compact succulent from the Western Cape region of South Africa, recognised by the characteristic shine of its leaves ("nitida" = shiny). It forms dense, low rosettes, preferring coastal sandy soils and degraded fynbos.

Lanceolate leaves, shiny green with a slight bluish tint, smooth and lustrous surface. Small whitish marginal teeth. Length 15–30 cm.

Propagation Strategy
