Genus of perennial herbs in the family Oxalidaceae growing in woodlands, moist meadows, and shaded areas across temperate and subtropical regions worldwide. Plants form small basal rosettes with bright green trifoliate leaves that fold at night or under water stress. They produce delicate white, pink, or yellow flowers with pigmented veins. Some species form underground corms or bulbils.
