format_quote
science

"Described by Emilio Chiovenda in "Flora Somala" vol. 2 (1932). The epithet "obbiadensis" refers to Obbia (today Hobyo), a historic port town in central Somalia. Species almost unknown outside academic circles; no records of regular cultivation or seed exchange in specialised collections. Its taxonomic status — whether it is an independent species or a geographic variety of C. ecirrhosa — has not yet been resolved with molecular data."
