Ceiba with restricted distribution in northwestern Argentina (Tucumán and Catamarca provinces) and Bolivia. The epithet "integrifolia" refers to leaves with entire margins, without teeth or lobes, unlike other species in the genus. Tree of montane forests and subtropical dry environments at low and medium altitude.

"Basionym: Chorisia integrifolia Ulbr. Transferred to Ceiba by Ravenna. Species poorly documented outside Argentine flora; records limited to herbaria in Buenos Aires and Tucumán. The distinction from C. insignis lies in the entire leaf margins and smaller trunk diameter."
